Child & Youth Early Intervention Support

Supporting Children & Young People Through Early Intervention
Children and young people do not always have the words to explain when something is wrong. Changes in behaviour, emotions, relationships or communication can sometimes signal that a child is struggling or feeling unsafe.
CYP provides child-centred, trauma-informed early intervention for children and young people affected by abuse, adversity or other experiences impacting their safety and wellbeing.
How We Help
Support is tailored to each child's age, needs, strengths and circumstances and may include:
Emotional support and safe opportunities to communicate
Confidence and resilience building
Healthy coping and emotional regulation skills
Creative activities and positive engagement
Healthy relationships and boundaries
Mentoring and supportive relationships
Strengthening protective factors
Why Early Intervention?
Our aim is to recognise concerns and provide meaningful support before difficulties escalate into crisis.
Where a child may require additional protection or specialist support, CYP can help identify appropriate safeguarding, community or specialist services.
